Mr Konstantinos Charitopoulos

Konstantinos Charitopoulos is a Consultant Urological Surgeon. He qualified at Patras University Medical School in Greece and completed his Urology training in Athens, Greece and Leeds, UK. Mr Charitopoulos has also completed a post-CCT Fellowship in Endourology at Leeds Teaching Hospitals and is regarded as a specialist in Endourology.

In 2010, Mr Charitopoulos was appointed as a Consultant Urological Surgeon at Chelsea and Westminster NHS Trust and the West Middlesex University Hospital and he has a special interest in the application of lasers in Urology, treatment of stones, minimal invasive surgery and benign prostatic hyperplasia. He is leading a successful Endourology/Stones Service operating on patients with complex kidney and stone disease. Mr Charitopoulos treats patients with benign prostate hyperplasia and he is trained to carry out day case procedures using the Green Laser and the UroLift procedure.

He has been awarded a PhD with Honours from the University of Athens and has published more than 30 papers in scientific journals. Mr Charitopoulos is involved in the training of medical students and he is an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer of the Imperial College School of Medicine.
