Dr Arjuna Imbuldeniya is the founder of The West London Clinic and a fully qualified Specialist Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon. He helps people with all causes of knee and hip pain either from injuries, over training, or with no obvious cause such as arthritis. He uses innovative but proven cutting edge technology including digital planning software, robotics and non- surgical less invasive treatments like biologic injectable therapies such as PRP, Hyaluronic acid and Arthrosamid.
Dr Imbuldeniya holds an NHS Consultant post at the Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust. The majority of his NHS practice is based at the West Middlesex University Hospital in West London, where his mother used to work as a midwife and where he was born. Dr Imbuldeniya graduated as a medical doctor in 2001 from St Bartholomew’s and the Royal London Hospitals Medical School, University of London.
Dr Imbuldeniya graduated as a medical doctor in 2001 from St Bartholomew’s and the Royal London Hospitals Medical School, University of London. He spent a number of years training as a junior doctor at The Royal London Hospital. His senior surgical training was based in North West London including appointments at Charing Cross Hospital, St Mary’s Hospital Paddington and the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. Prior to taking up his consultant post in 2015, Mr Imbuldeniya undertook international specialist fellowship training at the renowned Mater Hospital in Sydney, Australia where he lived for 1 year learning techniques from internationally renowned hip and knee replacement surgeons. In 2018 he was awarded the European Sports Knee Surgery (ESSKA) Travelling Fellowship to learn and operate with Barcelona’s top knee ligament, meniscus and cartilage repair team.
Dr Imbuldeniya is trained in and believes in the use of technology assisted surgery such as computer and robotic guided knee replacement surgery and has completed a Masters level degree in Global Health Policy from Imperial College, London, focusing on innovation in healthcare such as virtual fracture clinics. Dr Imbuldeniya graduated as a medical doctor in 2001 from St Bartholomew’s and the Royal London Hospitals Medical School, University of London.He has expertise in keyhole surgery of the knee including ACL reconstruction, meniscus and cartilage repair to knee injuries, ultrasound guided knee injections, robotic assisted partial knee replacement, robotic assisted total knee replacement, hip replacement particularly in the younger adult and complex revision/redo hip replacement.

Outside of work, he is a keen runner, and footballer and has spent time as a team doctor in the Australian National Rugby League. He has helped in projects to deliver high quality orthopaedic care in the developing world, and disseminate frugal innovation in Iraq, Uganda and Kenya recently. Any free time he has is devoted to his young children, wife, dog, two cats and supporting Brentford Football Club.
