Mr Stephen Ng Man Sun

Paediatric Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery

Mr Stephenn Ng Man Sun is a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedics Surgeon with a specialist interest in Children’s Orthopaedics. He manages a wide range of childhood conditions including: paediatric fractures and sports injuries, complex foot disorders, clubfoot, childhood hip conditions, neuromuscular problems, and the correction of limb deformity.

He studied Medicine at University College London Medical School where he also gained a BSc Degree in Orthopaedic Science with First Class Honours from the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore.  He undertook higher Orthopaedic Surgical Training on the Imperial North West London Training Programme.

Following completion of training, he undertook a Paediatric Orthopaedic Fellowship at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital as well as the prestigious UK based Fred Dietz Clubfoot Fellowship. Mr Ng Man Sun has gained experience in managing complex paediatric orthopaedic patients and trauma at several tertiary centres which include: the John Radcliffe Hospital (Major Trauma Centre), Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital and Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. His NHS post is at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, the regional tertiary referral centre for Children’s

Orthopaedics.  He is the educational lead for orthopaedic specialist registrars and also regularly teaches doctors in training and medical students from Imperial College. Medical School. His current research interests are in clubfoot, developmental dysplasia of the hip and bone and joint infections.  He has published book chapters and several papers in peer reviewed journals, as well as presented at international conferences.

Mr Ng Man Sun was born in North-West London and went to school in Hertfordshire. He lives with his wife and 2 daughters and spends most of his free time with his family but also enjoys playing Tennis on a weekly basis.
