Mr Taimur Shah has been practicing medicine for over 15 years and is a consultant urologist and clinical senior lecturer at Imperial College London (ICL) where he is the prostate cancer Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) lead. His practice covers all urological conditions including treatments for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and he is an international expert in the investigation of prostate cancer using Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and fusion transperineal prostate biopsies and its treatment using the newest minimally invasive techniques of focal therapy using high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) and cryotherapy. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals within these fields and been invited to give lectures nationally and internationally. He is also an expert at Da Vinci Robotic Prostatectomy (surgery to remove theprostate).
